This is Roanen...
These are the words I usually say when I answer my phone. My name is Roanen Barron; and, in this site you will find me. I'll be honest...having a web site where I am the primary topic creeps me out a little bit. It seems like a very arrogant and conceited thing to do. So why have I done it?
I believe in America. I believe that every person matters and every person has value. Years ago, I started blogging to share my thoughts about...well...about anything. My goal was to have thought provoking discussions. I saw the division and hatred of my fellow citizens that was being created by the extremism that has come to define Party Politics. I wanted something better. I wanted something better for my country, for my children, for each and every one of us.
I want government that makes sense. I want leaders who encourage us to work together to solve our problems. I want people to be involved and engaged in this, our "Grand Experiment" of liberty and self-governing. I want people voting and exercising their sacred rights to have a government "of the people, by the people and for the people". I believe it is time that we all get better leadership and a goverment that lives up to its mission to preserve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
It's our America. Let's create the America we want.
I ran for President in 2008 and again in 2012. If it is God's will, I am willing to serve. If it is the People's will, I am willing to be their candidate. I know the odds are stacked against an independent candidate; but, I believe an independent candidate is exactly what we need right now to bring us together, help us heal as a nation and find solutions to the issues that are important to the people who matter most in America: We, the People.

In this site you will find...me. You will learn what I believe, how I think, my values and my passions. You'll learn the good, the bad and the ugly. I'm not the right candidate for everyone, so I will understand if you decide not to award me your vote. I'll still count it a victory that you vote. I want you to encourage everyone you know to vote; and, encourage them to encourage everyone that they know to vote too. We are all important and America needs us all.
If, however, you are tired of choosing between two candidates that don't have your best interest at heart; if you feel that you deserve a leader who understands what you go through daily; if you want your vote to be awarded to someone you actually want to vote for rather than having to give it to someone in order to vote against the greater of two evils, I would be honored to have your support. I want to return the government to the people and I need your help to do it. |
